48 Hours in Bangkok

On a weekend in the middle of March, I had to opportunity to visit the city of Bangkok. However, because of timing and availability I only had 48 hours to spend there. If you ever have a long layover in BKK or plan to go for a quick weekend trip, continue reading to see an ideal itinerary if you want to experience the city slow and steady. Warning: this is only for those who enjoy relaxation!

DAY 1
9:00am Arrive at airport  
10:00am Breakfast at
The Commons Bangkok’s hippies cafés, playground and concept mall
11:00am River tour (Flower market/ Wat Pho Temple)Cruise along Bangkok's beautiful, gleaming temples and the magnificent Grand Palace.
4:00pm Massage at DivanaHeavenly relaxation with traditional thai spa and massage experience.
6:00pm Sunset & drinks at Vertigo and Moon BarOn the 61st floor of the Banyan Tree hotel is one of the best ways to end a long day in Bangkok.
7:30pm Dinner at Issaya Siamese Club RestaurantSpecializes in modern Thai food in a beautiful atmosphere.
9:30pm Drinks at Iron FairiesA magical bar that is designed like an ironsmith’s workshop.

DAY 2
12:00pm Massage and brunch at
Organika House + Secret SpaA tranquil green house café and spa offering luxury pampering and high tea sets.
4:00pm Jim Thompson HouseThis jungle-like complex is the former home of the eponymous silk entrepreneur and art collector.
7:00pm Dinner at Once Upon A TimeTraditional Thai food served in an old house with a little museum.
9:00pm Drinks at Lebua Sky BarThis rooftop bars serves as of the best with a 360 degree view of the city.
11:00pm Massage at Body TuneExperience a relaxing massage in a cozy, clean and modern atmosphere.
